New NY Bridge Newsletter

Yesterday I walked on the shared used path to view nature’s colorful scenery . . . wishful thinking. That’s a few years hence; until then, meet Project Director Peter Sanderson, and learn about the design team’s June 2014 deadline in the New NY Bridge newsletter, found under PUBLICATIONS on the home page.

What I did was drive and walk in the Rivertowns to see the bridge from different angles. Or as many as were possible, considering trees in Irving Neighborhood blocked my view, and certain areas were closed to pedestrian traffic. I glimpsed one view through treetops from the Warner Library parking lot; my vantage point in the parking lot at 303 S. Broadway afforded something different.

Parts of the entire bridge were visible from wherever I stood or drove; similarly, various aspects of the project are highlighted at different times. With two months, and meetings, until the transit task force makes its recommendations — and other in-the-works components — the project continues while awaiting its TIFIA loan.

I’d like to know what you think.
