In April, I began this blog to keep readers, and me, informed about the New NY Bridge project — new design with shared use paths and scenic views, belvederes with cultural information about the area, breakdown/emergency lanes, and traffic monitoring systems — and concerns that include protecting endangered fish and environmental monitoring, quality of life, boating safety during construction, mass transit options to ease traffic jams, fear of inflated tolls, and more.

An educational component created last summer — bringing the New NY Bridge project into schools, colleges, and museums — was presented for the first time last month, at a Tarrytown UFSD Board of Education meeting.

Thank you to The Hudson Independent, which placed a TZ Bridge Blog icon under its menu bar, and to Warner Library, which added a blog with updates link on its home page. Last month, the comprehensive blog Everything Croton, owned by Maria Cudequest, referred to this blog.

If there’s something about the project, or related to it, I haven’t mentioned, or you’d like me to include, please tell me in the comments section.

As always, I’d like to know what you think.
