Four More Years: Ramp E Will Remain Closed

“So far, so good” was the response to a query about village traffic two weeks after the Ramp E entrance to the Tappan Zee Bridge was closed for the second time.

Initially closed on December 6, 2013, Ramp E was reopened less than two weeks later. Project officials closed it again on March 10 for the project’s duration.

The Thruway Authority conducted a comprehensive study, later verified by Tappan Zee Constructors, LLC (TZC), which determined closing the ramp wouldn’t significantly affect traffic. A Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) request filed by The Hudson Independent on March 19, 2014, and acknowledged by the Thruway Authority, anticipates a response on or before April 23, 2014.

I’d like to know what you think.
