Update on the Tarrytown Viewing Area

If you want to find the viewing area at RiverWalk Park, then follow the signs.

Now it’s standing room only; however soon it will have seating.

The Board of Trustees authorized agreements with PBS Construction to build one large bench that is curved to follow the contour of the viewing area, Village Administrator Mike Blau said.

They were mailed last week (May 5), Blau said. The village is waiting for the contractor to sign and return them so work can get started.

Funding is via a $49,500 grant from the bridge project’s Community Benefits Program, which paid for educational signage ($2,070) and a pair of monoculars ($7,258.60). No Parking Today, Inc. will direct vehicles on the H-Bridge per a $31,000 grant for traffic control.

I’d like to know what you think.
