New bridge taking shape: view from the road (deck) and crossbeam placement/NYSTA

Earlier this week construction crews placed the fourth and final main span crossbeam. Can you imagine the view of the mountains and river from atop either the new or current bridge? I imagine it’s breathtaking.

Some crews are working high above the Hudson; others are busy on the ground.

Subcontractors preparing for new maintenance facility to be built in Tarrytown/NYSTA

Ongoing work includes removing temporary support structures near Westchester landing used for installing girders over the train tracks so road decks could later be installed, building noise barriers along the east/southbound Thruway in South Nyack and building foundation walls for the west/northbound Thruway and shared use path there.
