The Force was With Them: Toll Plaza Demolition
The fourth, er, force, was with construction crews today as they began tearing down the 60-plus-year-old Tarrytown toll plaza, starting with four booths on the far right. Photos courtesy of New York State Thruway Authority.
One thing I noticed last week was once past the toll plaza at 20 mph, drivers cut across the Thruway as lanes narrowed. Folks, you have time to move into the left lanes that become I-287. No reason to zoom across the Thruway.
I’ll be in Rockland Friday and am curious to see the new view driving back.
I’d like to know what you think.
