TZB’s Northern Towers Reach their Full Heights
Yesterday was “mission accomplished” for another segment of the project, when towers on the west/northbound span reached their 419-foot heights.
Correction: one tower reached full height; the others are very close to it.
“The new bridge’s westbound towers are reaching their ultimate height, 419 feet above the Hudson River,” per today’s press release. Their jump forms will be removed within the coming weeks.
Earlier information was sourced from a @NewNYBridge tweet yesterday.
More than one year after crews began working on the towers we’ll see their chamfered designs. Photos courtesy of the New York State Thruway Authority.
I’d like to know what you think.
