View from Here: on the New Westbound Span
Would you believe me if I tell you I felt like a kid in a candy store? There was so much to see and so many directions to point my camera in that it was akin to sensory overload.
The current bridge looked mighty when shown alone yet seemed small in comparison to the eight 419-foot tall towers, which have all reached their full heights.
To the north was a gorgeous, unobstructed view of the Hudson Valley and what you’ll see from the shared use path. Visible near the bottom of the photo are indentations marking the path.
While this would be for a post of random photos, I include it because we were at an active work site and instructed to stay behind the yellow tape and orange cones for safety.
More photos in upcoming posts; story in the January 2017 issue of Rivertown Magazine. I’d like to know what you think.
