Got toll fees? They’re waived thru February 26

If you don’t have an E-ZPass® tag and drove under either cashless tolling gantry near South Nyack, then here’s good news: through February 26, 2018, you can pay bills issued between April 2016, and January 31, 2018, without additional fees at this dedicated website.

While you’re at it, sign up for E-ZPass® and register your new tag from February 1 through February 26 to qualify for account credit after 10 trips on the Thruway during the next six months.

For the Gov. Mario M. Cuomo bridge, if the first toll bill is not paid by the customer, a $5 late fee will be imposed on the second notice. If a second notice is also ignored, violation fees of $100 per toll will be imposed.

The Thruway Authority’s six-point action plan to inform motorists includes new signage and encouraging customers to keep their Department of Motor Vehicles addresses up to date.

Toll violation amnesty applies to drivers who paid their toll bills and have outstanding violations or fees, are on a payment plan or have a suspended registration or were referred to the DMV for that reason.

I’d like to know what you think.
