April Fool’s Day: First Quarter Semi-Synopsis

Happy April Fool’s Day!

Three months into this year — the first quarter if you will — the project has reclaimed the river, and we’re fed up with snow that tries to infiltrate when the calendar says spring.

After Governor Andrew Cuomo’s January State of Emergency declaration for all downstate counties throughout the Hudson Valley, New York City and Long Island, the project suspended operations on the river save for limited crews on site to secure equipment and materials as long as safe condition.

While February was no kinder, the project continued as did its educational outreach presentations; the Super Bowl came and went, and we were privy to a different view.

More of the same weather in March brought the return of the floating concrete batch plants  — after last December’s accident — and was no match for the Regional STEM festival and the Engineering EXPO.

April is finally here!

I’d like to know what you think.
